Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) told the exchanges on 5 June 2026 that it has received a Notification of Award (NOA) from Meja Urja Nigam Private Limited (MUNPL) for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) package of the 3x800 MW Meja Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II.
MUNPL is a joint venture between NTPC Limited and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL). The award covers three 800 MW supercritical units, adding to BHEL’s order pipeline in coal-based baseload power equipment.
BHEL is a capital-goods public-sector undertaking with a market value of about Rs 1.45 lakh crore. Its shares ended the session around 0.6% lower at about Rs 387, and are up roughly 53% over the past year.
